Family Involvement

Family involvement is vital to the preschool. Children feel a wonderful sense of pride and value when they can say “my dad is coming to read stories today” or “my grandma made the play dough.”

There are many ways you can help. We typically welcome help with class projects, storytelling, special learning units, summer camp, library books, and special holiday activities. We also need your help with our annual back-to-school workday.

The Preschool Board of Directors is comprised primarily of parents. The Board meets monthly to set school policies and discuss major operational matters. The Board also helps plan school-wide events, family programs, fundraisers and volunteer efforts. Annual elections for class representatives are held in October; officers are chosen in the spring. The Board is an essential part of Beth El Preschool and Board meetings are open to the entire preschool community.

We are a diverse, welcoming and affirming community. We are fortunate to have many wonderfully supportive families and friends, and we can always use more help. Please let us know about your talents and skills and consider volunteering your time.
